Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Chief Surveyor to lead all surveying activities for road and infrastructure projects. You will oversee teams, ensure measurement accuracy, and coordinate with engineering and construction to support design and delivery.

The role requires extensive surveying experience, proficiency with Total Station, GPS and Theodolite, and strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Leadership and timely data delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geomatics or related field.
• Extensive surveying experience for roads/infrastructure.
• Proficiency with surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, Theodolite).
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and mapping software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all surveying operations.
• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction site surveys.
• Ensure accuracy in measurements, levels and alignments for roadworks and structures.
• Supervise survey teams and allocate tasks effectively.
• Prepare and review survey reports, maps, and drawings.
• Integrate survey data into design and construction plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and project managers.
• Monitor compliance with specifications, safety and quality requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve survey issues on-site.
• Ensure timely delivery of survey data to meet project schedules.
