Job summary

Samaco is seeking a Technician / Mechanic to accurately and skilfully repair and service all cars, including luxury vehicles, and to support the Workshop Controller in running the Luxury Car facility.

You will diagnose faults, discuss findings with service reception, and ensure work is completed safely, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in mechanical repair and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in mechanical repair or vehicle maintenance.
• Experience in the automotive industry, preferably within a dealership environment.
• Strong technical and diagnostic skills.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and skilfully undertake the repair and servicing of all cars.
• Support the Workshop Controller in the running of the Luxury Car facility.
• Detect and diagnose faults and establish work required.
• Deal with all customers directly in a customer-facing role and fulfil all tasks to the customer's complete satisfaction.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with Retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines.
• Meet all deadlines as set by your line manager, the company or the manufacturer.
