Job summary

Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer – Inverter to lead the development, launch, and sustainment of automated test systems for the inverter manufacturing lines. You will collaborate with design, controls, quality, and production teams to deliver robust test solutions for high‑voltage traction inverters, addressing safety, efficiency, and data‑driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in controls/electrical/automation engineering with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience developing and launching automated test equipment in high-volume manufacturing.
• Direct experience testing EV traction inverters or high-power power electronics in production.

Responsibilities

• Review inverter test specifications and approve change requests for traction inverter validation.
• Analyze test sequences, limits, cycle time, and fault handling for EOL and sub-assembly tests.
• Design and own hardware for inverter test stations including HV/LV routing and safety interlocks.
• Develop modular test software with clear operator interfaces and data logging.
• Collaborate with controls and production to integrate test systems with PLCs and dynos.
• Lead supplier sourcing, RFQs, and oversight for external inverter test equipment.
• Develop commissioning and validation plans including GR&R and fault injection.
• Train maintenance and operations teams on test station operation and safety.
