Job summary

Nextwo Co. is seeking a Lead AWS Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and cost-effective enterprise cloud solutions in Riyadh. The role requires 5+ years of dedicated infrastructure or solution architecture experience and 2–3 years designing AWS solutions.

You will lead enterprise cloud migrations, design landing zones, and establish governance and security controls while collaborating with business stakeholders, security, delivery teams, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or solution architecture, including 2–3 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions.
• Proven experience leading enterprise cloud migrations across applications, databases, and infrastructure, from discovery and assessment through production cutover.
• Strong experience designing AWS landing zones, multi-account environments, governance frameworks, and security controls.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across complex projects, collaborating with business stakeholders, security teams, delivery teams, and vendors.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and communicate architectural decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading design reviews, evaluating solution options, managing technical risks, and guiding delivery teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, mentoring, and vendor coordination skills.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Relevant AWS specialty certifications in Security or Networking
• Experience with container platforms, serverless architectures, and application modernization

We are looking for an experienced Lead AWS Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective enterprise cloud solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of experience in infrastructure or solution architecture, including 2–3 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions.

Proven experience leading enterprise cloud migrations across applications, databases, and infrastructure, from discovery and assessment through production cutover.

Strong experience designing AWS landing zones, multi-account environments, governance frameworks, and security controls.

Demonstrated technical leadership across complex projects, collaborating with business stakeholders, security teams, delivery teams, and vendors.

• Strong knowledge of core AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, IAM, encryption, and secure architecture design.
• Experience designing highly available solutions and disaster recovery strategies against defined recovery objectives.
• Strong understanding and application of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, balancing security, reliability, performance, operational efficiency, and cost.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams, design documents, migration plans, technical standards, and implementation guidance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex architectural and implementation challenges.
