Job summary

Client of Hire Lebanese is seeking a data scientist with 4+ years of hands‑on experience in advanced analytics, ML, and production deployments. You will develop data solutions using Python, SQL, and PySpark, applying concepts across forecasting, clustering, regression, and neural networks in fintech contexts.

You will communicate results clearly to non-technical stakeholders, work within an agile team, and contribute to model lifecycle management. Willingness to relocate is expected.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years in data analytics and machine learning development and deployment.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; PySpark experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of data science methods, algorithms, and ML lifecycle.
• Experience building models for production and business applications.
• Familiarity with fintech/banking domain is highly advantageous.
• Good English communication and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Willing to relocate and work collaboratively in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of practical experience developing and implementing data approaches such as advanced analytics and Machine Learning.
• Proficient in Python and SQL (PySpark and programming languages such as Java are a plus).
• Knowledgeable in Data Science and Machine Learning concepts and algorithms such as clustering, regression, classification, forecasting, neural networks, hyperparameters optimization and others.
• Experience in developing models for production and business application use.
• Knowledgeable in or experience with the Fintech/banking industry is a big plus.
• Basic knowledge in data engineering and ML model lifecycle.
• Strong business acumen in the financial sector (i.e., payments, acquiring, financial crime).
• Highly motivated, self‑driven, and willing to work in a team and with advanced technologies in challenging environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to communicate technical tasks to non‑technical people.
• Good analytical skills and ability to work in an agile environment and learn quickly.
• Willing to relocate.
