Job summary

Saint-Gobain GCC in Saudi Arabia seeks a Laboratory Technician to support testing of raw materials, finished products and prototypes. The role includes assisting in product development and formulation trials under the technical team's supervision.

You will maintain precise test records, ensure calibration and safe operation of lab equipment, and support quality control activities while collaborating with production and R&D to enhance product performance and address technical issues.

Qualifications

• Must have a diploma or bachelor's in chemistry or related field.
• 2–3 years in a laboratory environment, preferably construction materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory tests on raw materials, finished products, and prototypes.
• Assist in product development and formulation trials under the supervision of the technical team.
• Maintain accurate records of test results, formulations, and observations.
• Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used according to safety and quality standards.
• Support quality control activities and investigate product complaints or non-conformities.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams to improve product performance and resolve technical issues.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with lab instruments and testing procedures (e.g., viscosity, setting time, compressive strength).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
