Responsibilities

• Assist the project engineer in technical specifications and site estimations.
• Provide technical and engineering support to the line manager.
• Ensure safety compliance in all WCS activities.

Skills

Technical knowledge of Electrical design on Switchgear, transformer

Knowledge on crane control systems like PLC, Drives

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work

Education

Job description

Job Purpose

To help the project engineer in leading and oversee the engineering and commissioning process on cranes, ensuring their successful integration, installation, calibration, and functionality. The engineer's primary objective is to ensure that cranes are fully operational, safe, and compliant with industry safety standards and regulations.

Key Accountabilities

Perform the following but not limited to:

• Assist the project engineer in preparing the technical specifications and site estimations and liaise with subcontractors to prepare the offer.
• Familiar with the design of substation, switchgear, cable sizing and scheduling
• Familiar with reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Familiar with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Thorough knowledge on the Electrical design standards
• Familiar with Project management in monitoring, scheduling the site execution, monitoring the cost control and resource allocations.
• Assist in the Preparation of required method statements and risk assessments.
• Provide technical and engineering support to the line manager.
• Familiar with the Preparation of technical inspection reports, and documentation of the projects during final handover with punch list works resource and cost allocation.
• Assisting with design reviews and product development in Electrifications and hybridizations
• Ensure that the highest level of safety is applied in all WCS activities.
• Implement and monitor WCS’ HSE compliance policy.
