Job summary

Wakeb_Data is seeking a data engineer to design and implement scalable data pipelines and storage solutions in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on data quality, security, and reliable processing across diverse data sources.

The candidate will collaborate with analysts and data scientists to enable data-driven decision-making, leveraging tools like Airflow, PySpark, NiFi, Hive, Snowflake, and Databricks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, ETL tools, and databases.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Big Data technologies.
• Knowledge of Snowflake or Databricks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean, transform, and process data from multiple sources.
• Build and maintain databases and data warehouses.
• Ensure data quality, security, and system performance.
• Work with Big Data tools such as Airflow, PySpark, NiFi, and Hive.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and the Data Office.
