Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Dammam is seeking a professional to oversee maintenance tasks and enforce health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the maintenance team, assist with troubleshooting critical tasks, and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules. A Technical Institute degree and at least 3 years of experience in a relevant field are required. The position demands the ability to work under pressure and involve a commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess and assign tasks from the Repair Request Form.
• Execute and oversee Preventive maintenance tasks.
• Assist in troubleshooting and support for breakdowns.
• Ensure proper execution of external contracts.
• Conduct daily safety talk meetings and enforce HSE procedures.

• Receive Repair Request Form (RRF) from Maintenance Planner, assess the task in coordination with Production and assign technician(s) accordingly to insure proper tasks’ distribution.
• Assist in troubleshooting breakdowns upon need and seek Maintenance Unit Head support for critical tasks.
• Verify Repair Requests and Preventive checklists upon completion to ensure the job has been properly done and pass RRF and Preventive checklists to Maintenance Planner for updating Maintenance Log Sheet.
• Assist Maintenance Unit Head in setting the scheduled Maintenance Plan. Execute Preventive maintenance tasks as per Preventive maintenance schedule by tasks among his team accordingly to ensure that Preventive Maintenance activities are taking place on time.
• Review and pre-approve Spare Part Requisition Form in order to insure adequate spare parts consumption.
• Follow-up and inspect contracted tasks (outsourced) in order to insure proper execution.
• Prepare a report stating the major additional tasks that were carried out once the machine was under breakdown, Preventive or Scheduled maintenance in order to ensure that all maintenance activities are being recorded.
• Carry-out and allocate In-house calibration tasks among his team and follow-up on the execution in order to ensure that all In-house calibration activities are being performed on-time and according to the set Calibration Work Instructions.
• Assume 5S duties according to the set 5S plan to enhance working condition.

• Promote health and safety awareness by reading, understanding and enforcing the health and safety procedures and instructions of his area of supervision.
• Assist the section head in carrying out risk assessment in the scope of his responsibility.
• Read and understand the Emergency Response Procedures
• Pass to junior colleagues, health and safety information and instructions received the head of section.
• Ensure HSE procedures are adhered to in his area of work.
• Ensure all subordinates are trained and fully understand all safe working practices within their area of work.
• Forward comments to the head of section on any training needs in his scope of responsibility.
• Ensure all near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions are reported.
• Ensure any unsafe acts he sees are immediately stopped.
• Ensure any unsafe conditions are locked out until they are repaired.
• Ensure any new hazards are reported immediately.
• Take part in cross auditing program and safety inspections.
• Conduct daily “safety talk” meetings take place in his area of responsibility Attend all safety meetings as requested.

• All Production Sections, Spare Parts Store and external repair shops &/or fabricators.

Required Job Qualifications & Competencies

• Education & Experience
• Reading, Writing and Arithmetic skills required. This is preferably acquired through a Technical Institute degree with at least 3 years’ experience in the same field.
