Job summary

Al Rugaib Holding Company is seeking an Interior Design Engineer to lead interior concepts, layout development, and 3D visualizations for interior fit-out projects. You will prepare detailed shop drawings, select finishes, and coordinate with architectural, MEP, and structural teams to ensure design intent and project requirements are met.

The role requires strong visualization skills, materials knowledge, and the ability to supervise site execution while meeting deadlines in a contracting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design and fit-out works within the construction/contracting sector.
• Strong knowledge of interior finishing materials, joinery, furniture, lighting, and fit-out systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Photoshop for design, drafting, and 3D visualization.
• Good understanding of shop drawings, material specifications, and finishing schedules.
• Awareness of relevant codes and standards for finishing, fire, and accessibility requirements.
• Strong sense of aesthetics, space planning, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, layouts, mood boards, and 3D visualizations in line with the design intent.
• Prepare and review detailed interior shop drawings, finishing schedules, and material specifications.
• Select and coordinate interior finishing materials, joinery, furniture, lighting, and fixtures.
• Review and ensure compliance of interior works with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Coordinate interior design with architectural, MEP, and structural disciplines to avoid conflicts.
• Prepare and review material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and technical reports.
• Supervise site execution of fit-out and finishing works to ensure quality and design compliance.
• Manage and coordinate with fit-out subcontractors and joinery/furniture suppliers.
• Monitor progress of interior works and ensure timely execution according to schedule.
• Support snagging, close-out, and handover of interior and fit-out works.
