Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (MEA) is hiring an Information Technology Business Analyst to engage with stakeholders, gather requirements, and translate them into functional specs and BRDs for banking projects. You will work with IT, Product Owners, and business teams, ensuring alignment across UI/UX for mobile/web banking journeys and coordinating with Dev, QA, and security groups.

• Strong experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain.
• Hands-on experience with Mobile Banking, Digital Banking, or Internet Banking applications.
• Strong experience in preparing FSDs and detailed functional requirements.
• Good understanding of banking products, customer journeys, and digital banking processes.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Ability to discuss APIs, system integrations, interfaces, data flows, and backend dependencies with technical teams.
• Experience working with Development, QA, Architecture, Integration, and Product/Business teams.
• Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, pain points, and functional requirements.
• Conduct requirement-gathering workshops and discussions with Business, Product Owners, IT, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and other functional documentation.
• Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs/FSDs), User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, Acceptance Criteria, and Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTMs) as applicable.
• Translate business requirements into clear requirements that can be understood and implemented by development and integration teams.
• Work closely with technical teams to understand system capabilities, interfaces, APIs, dependencies, and implementation constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, impact analysis, gap analysis, and process analysis for new requirements and change requests.
• Support solution/design discussions and ensure that the proposed solution adequately addresses business requirements.
• Work closely with UI/UX teams on mobile/web banking journeys and ensure that designs are aligned with approved business requirements.
• Coordinate with Development, QA, Integration, Architecture, Security, and other teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Clarify functional requirements and resolve queries raised by developers and testing teams during implementation.
• Review test scenarios and test cases to ensure adequate coverage of business and functional requirements.
• Support SIT, UAT, defect triage, production deployment, and post-production/hypercare activities as required.
• Analyze production issues/incidents from a functional perspective and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks, gaps, and open points and proactively drive them to closure.
• Maintain proper requirement traceability and ensure that changes to requirements are documented and communicated to all stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily discussions, demos, and retrospectives.
• Ensure timely stakeholder communication and provide clear updates on requirements, dependencies, risks, and delivery status.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in the Banking / Financial Services domain.
• Hands-on experience with Mobile Banking, Digital Banking, or Internet Banking applications.
• Strong experience in preparing Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and detailed functional requirements.
• Good understanding of banking products, customer journeys, and digital banking processes.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Ability to understand and discuss APIs, system integrations, interfaces, data flows, and backend dependencies with technical teams.
• Experience working with Development, QA, Architecture, Integration, and Product/Business teams.
• Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Ability to independently drive requirements and coordinate across multiple teams.

Preferred / Added Advantage

• Prior experience specifically as an IT Business Analyst within a bank or digital banking transformation program.
• Experience with banking domains such as Accounts, Payments, Cards, Loans/Financing, Remittances, Customer Onboarding, KYC, Digital Channels, or related banking products.
• Experience working on mobile and web banking customer journeys.
• Experience working in large-scale Agile banking transformation programs.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, or equivalent requirement/design collaboration tools.
