Job summary

El Seif is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to ensure zero environmental impact during project execution, review safety inputs, and implement the HSE program on site. You will identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and lead toolbox talks to improve safety awareness across teams.

The role requires a Bachelor in Engineering or Safety-related field plus NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certification and at least 5 years of HSE experience in a similar operation, ideally in the Middle East.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Bachelor in Engineering or Safety-related field; Masters preferred.
  • NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE in a comparable operation.
  • Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus.
  • Advanced in integrated management systems and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and ensure there is no environmental loss or damage during project execution.
  • Review method statements for safety inputs and establish the site as per HSE program/plan.
  • Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and mitigate hazards.
  • Develop safety awareness and conduct toolbox talks and training.
  • Lead major incident investigations and coordinate periodic audits.
  • Support budgeting, training delivery, and safety certifications upkeep.
  • Promote safety culture across all divisions and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare traffic plans, conduct site inspections, and manage cost of injury data.

Responsibilities

The main purpose of the HSE Supervisor role is to identify & ensure there is no property loss or damage to the environment during project execution and review method statements for safety inputs, establish the site as per HSE program/plan, ensure hazard identification, risk assessment, mitigate hazards, develop safety awareness & conduct toolbox moments.

  • Support the day-to-day responsibilities of the project HSE in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and meeting the approved budget.
  • Support in meeting the accountabilities for all HSE activities within the project.
  • Support in ensuring HSE deliverables schedule is updated based on identified project risks and mitigation plans.
  • Support in maintaining the company’s safety certifications.
  • Support in promoting safety culture within all the Company’s divisions.
  • Ensure HSE policy is put in place to minimize hazards.
  • Support in ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, regulations, rules, standards, and requirements.
  • Assist in setting an effective system for investigation, reporting, and estimation of cost of injury, damage, etc.
  • Assist in providing inputs to the management on the effectiveness of the implementation of HSE program.
  • Support in leading major incident accident investigations within the project.
  • Assist in the planning, budgeting, and delivery of corporate training.
  • Support in coordinating with all divisions to ensure that any major issues are identified and addressed, including issues raised by clients in these regards.
  • Support Personnel and Admin to report safety incidents if occur
  • Assist in coordinating with all parties for the execution of periodic audits.
  • Support in managing the development of the company’s expertise, know-how, controls and capabilities in safety.
  • Conduct HSE orientation to new employees on project.
  • Conduct Safety toolbox meetings, HSE awareness sessions, & training.
  • Conduct site emergency drills.
  • Review material safety data sheets.
  • Ensure conducting a regular inspection to identify potential hazards.
  • Prepare traffic plan at the site.
  • Conduct HSE auditing within the project.
Qualifications
