Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HSE Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and procedures in line with local and international standards.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and company standards.
  • Perform thorough risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate identified hazards.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near‑misses, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for prevention.
  • Design and deliver engaging HSE training programs to enhance employee awareness and promote a safety‑first culture.
  • Collaborate with management and department heads to address HSE concerns and continuously improve workplace conditions.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare comprehensive reports for management review and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated on Saudi Arabian labor laws and HSE regulations, ensuring organizational adherence.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and government bodies on HSE matters.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through various communication channels and engagement activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA).
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.
  • In‑depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, particularly in Saudi Arabia and internationally (e.g., ISO 45001).
  • Proficiency in HSE management systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in conducting HSE audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Expertise in risk assessment and management techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HSE‑specific software.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong commitment to promoting a safety‑first culture and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in emergency response planning and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian labor laws and their implications on HSE practices.
