Job summary

Dammam Airports Company is seeking a Senior leader to guide the mega projects portfolio, translating strategic expansion goals into tangible assets for Airside and Landside developments. You will ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to aviation safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires 15+ years in project management within large organizations, preferably aviation, with PMP preferred. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience in Project Management or a similar field within a large organization, preferably in aviation or transportation.
• Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overarching strategic plan and delivery model for the portfolio of mega projects, aligning with long-term expansion goals.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of airside and landside mega projects, ensuring on-time, in-scope, and on-budget completion.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Mega Project leadership team with clear performance expectations.
• Manage relationships with major contractors, joint-venture partners, consultants, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and manage division budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor expenditures.

TheHeadofMega Projectis responsible forprovidingstrategic leadership and single-point accountability for the successful, end-to-end delivery ofDammam Airport's largest and most complex capital investment programs. This role is responsible for translating the company's strategic expansion goals into tangible assets by ensuring all Airside and Landside mega projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, thereby expanding the airport's operational capabilities.

Position Accountability Description

Strategic Planning and Leadership:
1.Develop and implement the overarching strategic plan and delivery model for Dammam Airports' portfolio of mega projects, ensuring direct alignment with the organization's long-term expansion goals.
2.Provide high-level strategic leadership and direction to the Airside and Landside mega project divisions, ensuring exceptional performance, risk management, and strategic alignment.
3.Monitor industry trends and best practices in mega-project delivery to ensure Dammam Airports' approachremainsinnovative, competitive, and effective.

Project Management Oversight:
4.Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all Airside and Landside mega projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
5.Ensure all necessary permits and regulatory clearances (GACAR, ICAO,FAAetc.)areacquiredfor all project phases, guaranteeing full compliance with aviation, safety, and environmental standards.
6.Conduct strategic program reviews and audits of project documentation, progress reports, and safety records.

Team Leadership and Development:
7.Lead, mentor, and develop the Mega Project leadership team, setting clear performance expectations and providing continuous support.
8.Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development programs to enhance team capabilities.
9.Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and engaged workforce, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence

Stakeholder Management:
10.Manage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including major contractors, joint-venture partners, consultants, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
11.Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams and Stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues or concerns promptly.
12.Represent the organization in meetings with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with Aviation and Environmental standards.

Position Accountability Description

Resource Allocation and Financial Management:
13.Develop and manage the division's budget, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources.
14.Identifyopportunities for cost savings, valueengineeringand implement strategies to achieve financial efficiencies.
15.Review and advise onthe legitimacy ofany potentialvariationorders.
16.Monitor project expenditures and provide regular financial reports toSeniorManagement.

Risk Management:
17.Identifyand mitigate risks associated withMegaProject, including safety hazards, regulatory compliance, and operational disruptions.
18.Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential risks and ensure business continuity.
19.Ensure that allMega Project activities adhere to the organization's risk management policies and procedures.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
20.Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of themegaproject division.
21.Provide regular reports and updates toSeniorManagement on project activities, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.
22.Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with project management policies and procedures.
