Job : Head of Compliance

Job Objective : To oversee compliance activities and related units, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia, and aligning with international standards to mitigate risks. Responsibilities include developing compliance policies, addressing customer complaints, supervising AML and financial crime activities, and reporting to senior management. The role also involves maintaining alignment between Saudi and Jordanian regulations and managing compliance with regulatory updates.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set and monitor annual compliance goals for Saudi branches in coordination with Head Office.
- Supervise staff, evaluate performance, and support professional development.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Central Bank policies and regulations, reporting conflicts with Jordanian regulations immediately.
- Review and enforce the Code of Conduct.
- Assess compliance procedures for new products, mitigate risks, and support governance.
- Issue internal circulars and guidance based on operational updates.
- Develop and update the Compliance Program for regulatory adherence, obtaining board approval.
- Conduct compliance reviews, assess controls, and report findings.
- Maintain disclosure matrices, ensure timely reporting, and update disclosure manuals.
- Respond to inquiries and provide guidance on compliance matters.
- Review regulatory correspondence and ensure proper communication formats.
- Handle non-standard client letters and coordinate approvals.
- Review internal systems for compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor regulator updates and incorporate them into procedures.
- Evaluate non-compliance incidents and recommend improvements.
- Participate in operational risk workshops and enhance controls.
- Ensure accurate data collection for FFI / CRS / IRS reporting and monitor certification processes.
- Review compliance risk files and conduct control testing.
- Notify senior management of violations and prepare compliance reports.
- Oversee implementation and self-monitoring units to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review audit and regulatory reports and address issues to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure daily operations comply with policies and authorities.
- Support FATCA and CRS compliance inquiries.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in business, banking, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years banking experience, including 5 years in management.
- Relevant professional certification per Saudi Central Bank requirements.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong supervisory, administrative, and leadership skills.
- Deep knowledge of banking regulations, products, and risks.
- Familiarity with Saudi Central Bank laws and systems.
- Excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and collaboratively in a team.
