Overview
The Graphic Designer – Finalizer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing all graphic design files to ensure they are accurate, print-ready, and compliant with brand guidelines, production specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures flawless execution of artwork before production or publication.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. Artwork Finalization & Pre-Press
- Review and finalize design files for print and digital production.
- Ensure artwork meets technical specifications such as dimensions, color modes, resolution, bleeds, and margins.
- Prepare print-ready files in accordance with vendor and production requirements.
2. Quality Control & Accuracy
- Check designs for accuracy in text, layout, colors, images, and branding consistency.
- Ensure there are no spelling, alignment, or formatting errors prior to release.
- Verify barcodes, QR codes, and mandatory product information for accuracy and scannability.
3. Brand & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all designs comply with brand guidelines and visual identity standards.
- Confirm artwork aligns with regulatory requirements (e.g., labeling, SFDA, legal text where applicable).
4. File Management & Archiving
- Organize, label, and archive final design files systematically.
- Maintain version control to avoid duplication or outdated files.
- Work closely with graphic designers, marketing, production, and quality teams to resolve artwork issues.
- Coordinate with printing vendors to address technical queries and ensure smooth production.
6. Production Support
- Support packaging, labeling, and marketing material production processes.
- Review samples, proofs, and mockups to ensure final output matches approved artwork.
- Identify opportunities to improve design workflows, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Stay updated with printing standards, software updates, and industry best practices.
8. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform any additional design or finalization tasks assigned by the Design or Marketing Manager within the scope of the department.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Proven experience in graphic design finalization or pre-press work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of printing processes, materials, and color management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
