Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced General Ledger Unit Manager to oversee all general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data. The role manages monthly and annual closes, maintains IFRS/GAAP compliance, and leads a team of accountants.

You will drive internal controls, implement process improvements, coordinate with auditors, and collaborate with IT and finance to optimize ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, while mentoring staff to achieve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory GL role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, closing procedures.
• ERP experience with SAP, Oracle or NetSuite; advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of the general ledger and ensure accurate transactions.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance and internal policies.
• Drive process improvements and automation in GL operations.
• Collaborate with IT and finance to improve ERP systems.
• Supervise and develop GL accountants; provide training and mentoring.
