Job summary

A General Accountant role is available with a leading Saudi Group operating across mining, manufacturing and logistics. You will manage the factory’s full accounting cycle, including revenue, payables, inventory, costing and payroll, and support month-end close.

You should have 3–5 years of factory accounting experience, a Commerce degree, English proficiency, and SOCPA eligibility; relocation to Saudi Arabia may be required, with ERP/Odoo exposure and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for the factory, including receivables, payables, cash, expenses, fixed assets, inventory, payroll and month‑end closing.
• Prepare and reconcile tax invoices, customer statements and receivables ageing.
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash forecasts, petty cash reviews and advance settlements.
• Do three‑way matching of PO/GRN/invoice and reconcile supplier statements.
• Maintain fixed asset register incl. capitalization, depreciation, transfers and disposals.
• Carry out process/job order costing and analyze production variances.
• Reconcile materials, production, inventory and sales records; participate in stock counts.
• Support payroll accounting, GOSI reconciliation, leave provisions and end‑of‑service records.
• Prepare VAT and withholding tax papers and support zakat requirements.
• Handle intercompany reconciliations and assist month‑end close and profitability reporting.
• Coordinate with operations, warehouse, production and finance teams.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, ERP data and supporting docs.

The General Accountant will be responsible for managing the factory’s full accounting cycle, including revenue and receivables, payables, cash and advances, expenses, fixed assets, inventory and costing, payroll accounting, taxation, and month-end closing. The role requires strong experience in factory accounting, costing, financial reconciliations, ERP systems, and coordination across operational and finance teams.

Location: Rumah – Riyadh Region, Saudi Arabia

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash, advances, expenses, fixed assets, inventory, and payroll accounting.
• Prepare and reconcile tax invoices, credit and debit notes, customer statements, and receivables ageing.
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash forecasts, petty cash reviews, and employee advance settlements.
• Perform three‑way matching of purchase orders, goods received notes, and invoices, and reconcile supplier statements.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and physical verification.
• Perform process/job order costing and analyze production or job‑related variances.
• Reconcile materials, production, inventory, and sales records and participate in stock counts.
• Support payroll accounting, GOSI reconciliation, leave and end‑of‑service provisions, and related records.
• Prepare VAT and withholding tax working papers and support zakat requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Egypt-based candidates willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from a recognized university.
• 3–5 years of experience in factory accounting covering the full accounting cycle.
• Strong experience in accounting within industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Good understanding of costing, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, VAT, and financial reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, and model building.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems; Odoo is preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Eligibility for professional registration with SOCPA.
• Experience in payroll and fixed assets is preferred.
• Experience in cement, lime, mineral grinding, steel fabrication, trailer manufacturing, or metal workshops is preferred.
• Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred.
• Willingness to work and reside at an industrial site outside urban areas.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and communication skills.
