Job Title: Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and maintaining compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role acts as a strategic financial anchor, providing the senior management with accurate financial insights while ensuring 100% compliance with Saudi Arabia’s regulatory, tax, and zakat frameworks.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Financial Management & Reporting:
- Manage the full cycle of monthly and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and conduct in-depth financial analysis on variances and key performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Tax, Zakat & Regulatory Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of VAT returns and Zakat declarations via the ZATCA portal.
- Ensure full implementation and compliance with Electronic Invoicing (Fatoora) requirements (Phase I & II).
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors for annual financial audits.
3. Operational Excellence & ERP Management:
- Supervise General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets.
- Lead the administration and enhancement of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Odoo) to ensure data integrity.
4. Planning & Treasury:
- Collaborate in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
- Manage corporate cash flow and liquidity to support operational requirements.
Qualifications & Professional Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Certifications like SOCPA, CMA, or ACCA are highly preferred).
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel (Financial modeling, Macros).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of IFRS, Saudi Labor Law, and ZATCA regulations.
- Languages (Mandatory):
- Arabic & English: Full professional proficiency (Written & Spoken).
- Urdu & Hindi: Full professional proficiency (Spoken) is essential for effective communication with multicultural staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
