Job summary

SAP SE seeks an AI‑driven software engineer to design, build, and operate cloud‑native enterprise apps that integrate AI capabilities, ensuring security and reliability from discovery to production handover.

You will embed into customer projects, mentor delivery teams, and shape reusable components and engineering guardrails while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in software and application engineering for cloud-native, enterprise, and SaaS environments.
• Proven ability to design and deliver AI-native applications using LLMs, RAG architectures, and agent-based workflows.
• Strong proficiency in AI/ML Python libraries and data pipelines/MLOps practices.
• Experience embedding AI into enterprise processes with responsible, scalable solutions.
• Ability to mentor teams and establish development guardrails and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate production-grade, cloud-native enterprise applications with AI capabilities.
• Embed directly into customer projects and cross-functional teams to rapidly understand business processes.
• Translate requirements into robust architectures balancing speed, quality, security, and maintainability.
• Prototype, iterate, and productionize solutions in customer environments.
• Own end-to-end delivery from framing problems to production operations.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices and guardrails for compliant solutions.
• Communicate solution approaches and progress to customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to engineering standards and reusable components.
