Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Saudi Arabia seeks a Fit Out Construction Engineer to represent the consultant on-site, supervising interior fit-out works across large mixed-use developments and theme parks. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specs and contract requirements while maintaining quality and safety from construction through handover.

You will coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors and vendors, review submittals and RFIs, and support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related.
• 10+ years of experience in construction and site supervision consultancy.
• Experience with mixed-use developments, entertainment destinations, theme parks, hospitality, retail and large-scale commercial projects.
• Previous on-site supervision experience with engineering consultancies.
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, fit-out systems, themed construction, and FF&E installations.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and Saudi Arabian regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect fit-out construction activities for compliance with drawings, specs and contract requirements.
• Monitor installation of finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, and themed elements.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, method statements and RFIs from contractors.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors and vendors to resolve site issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare observation reports, NCRs and snag lists.
• Verify progress and provide recommendations for contractor payments.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented throughout construction.
• Monitor contractor compliance with schedules and methodologies.
• Witness testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Attend progress meetings and prepare technical reports for Resident Engineer and Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, project specs and health & safety standards.

Job Description Overview

The Fit Out Construction Engineer will represent the Consultant on-site and oversee the execution of interior fit-out works across large-scale mixed-use developments and theme park projects. About you

• Proven experience in mixed-use developments, entertainment destinations, theme parks, hospitality, retail, and large-scale commercial projects.
• Previous experience working with engineering consultancies on site supervision assignments.
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, fit-out systems, themed construction, and FF&E installations.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and Saudi Arabian regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience on major KSA giga projects, theme parks, entertainment venues, resorts, or mixed-use developments.
• Background working with international consultancy firms.
• Experience overseeing multiple fit-out packages within complex developments.
