Total Safety EMEA is seeking technicians to perform regular inspections of firefighting equipment and test fire alarm systems to ensure readiness and regulatory compliance. You will record findings, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and install systems as required, always aligning with NFPA standards and client project timelines.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, clear communication, and coordination with supervisors and engineers to meet project deadlines and deliver

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in fire alarm and gas detection system installation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of NFPA standards and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsabilités

• Inspect onsite firefighting equipment for functionality and regulatory compliance.

Description du poste

• Conduct regular inspections of all onsite firefighting equipment’s to ensure functionality and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Test fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, fire alarms, and control panels, to verify operational readiness.
• Record findings from inspections and tests accurately, suggesting improvements and necessary repairs.

Maintenance - Preventive and Corrective:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on firefighting equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements as per manufacturer and regulatory standard guidelines.
• Identify and troubleshoot defects or malfunctions in fire alarm systems, performing corrective maintenance (CM) to restore systems to operational condition.
• Install and commission firefighting equipment’s, fire alarm systems, gas detection systems, and related components as per assigned project requirements.
• Ensure all work adheres to NFPA standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local fire safety regulations.
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate tools and equipment during all tasks.
• Submit reports on inspected system performance and any corrective measures undertaken.
• Coordinate with site Supervisor, engineers, foremen, and project teams to meet deadlines and ensure smooth workflow.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding system operations and maintenance requirements.
