Job summary

SFASCO, based in Riyadh, is seeking an experienced firefighter maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and testing on sprinkler systems, pumps, hydrants, hose reels, landing valves and extinguishers on site.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical/Plumbing Diploma with NFPA and Civil Defense awareness, and has about six years of hands-on firefighting system maintenance, plus the ability to read schematics and follow safety procedures on a busy site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or related field.
• Firefighting system training or certification (preferred).
• 6 years of experience in firefighting system maintenance.
• Good understanding of NFPA standards and Saudi Civil Defense requirements.
• Experience with various firefighting equipment brands and configurations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and regular inspections on firefighting systems such as sprinkler systems, fire pumps, hydrants, hose reels, landing valves and fire extinguishers.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct functional testing of pumps, jockey main diesel valves, flow switches and pressure systems.
• Replace worn-out or defective parts ensuring minimal system downtime.
• Maintain accurate service and inspection records as per company and Civil Defense requirements.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with NFPA standards and local regulations.
• Support site teams during Civil Defense inspections and third-party audits.
• Assist in installation commissioning and modifications of firefighting systems under supervision.
• Adhere strictly to safety policies and proper use of PPE on site.
