Job summary

Confidential in Riyadh seeks a Financial Controller with hands-on Odoo Accounting experience to oversee day-to-day accounting, reporting, and compliance. You will manage GL, AP, AR, and month-end closings within Odoo, ensuring accurate financial statements and timely analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting / Odoo ERP.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end closing.
• Experience with VAT, ZATCA, IFRS in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficient Excel skills and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations using Odoo Accounting.
• Manage General Ledger, AP, AR, journal entries, invoices, payments, and expenses.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead monthly and year-end closings and financial reporting.
• Maintain Chart of Accounts and proper Odoo classification.

We are seeking a Financial Controller with strong hands‑on experience in Odoo Accounting to oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise combined with practical experience using Odoo ERP / Odoo Accounting, with the ability to manage accounting transactions, financial controls, reporting, and month‑end closing activities within the system.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations using Odoo Accounting.
• Manage General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), journal entries, invoices, payments, and expenses.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage monthly and year‑end closing activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain and review the Chart of Accounts and ensure proper accounting classification within Odoo.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and working capital.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure accurate recording and reporting of VAT and other applicable financial obligations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Saudi accounting requirements, ZATCA regulations, and applicable government requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and other financial stakeholders.
• Identify accounting discrepancies, strengthen financial controls, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper supporting documentation and audit trails for financial transactions.
• Support continuous improvement and optimization of accounting processes within Odoo ERP.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Odoo Accounting / Odoo ERP is required.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month‑end closing.
• Practical experience with Odoo invoicing, payments, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and accounting transactions.
• Good understanding of VAT and ZATCA regulations in Saudi Arabia.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles applicable in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Odoo Accounting implementation, configuration, or process optimization.
• Experience with Analytic Accounting and multi-company accounting.
• SOCPA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
• Experience working in a multi‑business or fast‑paced organization.
