The Financial Analyst – JV will support the Financial Controller in delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring. The role is responsible for providing accurate financial data, supporting FP&A activities, and contributing to strong financial control, governance, and decision-making across the JV.
The role acts as a key analytical support within the finance team, ensuring data integrity, timely reporting, and meaningful financial insights to support business performance and strategic decisions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports in line with IFRS and internal requirements.
- Prepare and maintain financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across reporting systems and ERP (SAP).
- Support the preparation of management reports and financial dashboards.
FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting Support
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Support the development of financial models, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Track actual performance against budget and forecast and support variance analysis.
- Provide analytical support to the Financial Controller and finance leadership team.
Business Performance Analysis
- Support analysis of revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and working capital.
- Assist in preparing business performance reports by product, project, customer, or business unit.
- Identify trends, variances, and key drivers of financial performance.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis requests from management.
Governance, Controls & Compliance Support
- Support the maintenance of financial controls and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist in ensuring proper documentation and audit trails for financial transactions.
- Support internal and external audit requirements and follow-up on audit queries.
Accounting & IFRS Support
- Assist in ensuring financial data is aligned with IFRS requirements.
- Support the preparation of accounting schedules and technical analysis where required.
- Help maintain accurate and well-documented accounting records.
ERP & Process Support (SAP)
- Work within SAP or other ERP systems to extract, validate, and analyze financial data.
- Support data integrity and accuracy within financial systems.
- Assist in improving reporting templates, automation, and process efficiency.
- Participate in finance system enhancements and testing when required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (or in progress) such as CPA, SOCPA, CMA is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
- 1–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or financial analysis.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, or financial modeling.
Knowledge/skills:
