To lead the core financial operations of the Company, ensuring accurate accounting, regulatory compliance, robust internal controls, and alignment with Ministry and all governance requirements. The role focuses on managing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, compliance, and system integrity, process automation, and governance alignment to support strategic decision-making and maintain financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and payroll.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (SOCPA / IFRS) and regulatory bodies such as Ministry of Sport (MoS) and ZATCA.
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal audit teams for audit readiness and execution.
- Ensure compliance with ZATCA requirements for VAT, WHT, and corporate tax obligations.
- Supervise complex accounting treatments, IFRS 16 lease transactions, and government grants related to operational support from MoS and PACE programs.
- Develop and maintain strong internal control systems to support risk mitigation and financial integrity.
- Supervise the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and ERP processes to improve automation and accuracy.
- Ensure proper accounting of complex revenue streams such as ticketing, sponsorships, merchandising, and broadcasting rights..
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller and Treasury Manager to ensure integrated financial insights, reporting, and cash flow management.
- Provide financial data and insights to support management decisions and board and committees’ meetings
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CPA / SOCPA / CMA are preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of finance experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of SOCPA/IFRS, MoS regulations, and ZATCA tax framework.
- Experience in working within PIF-owned or listed entities and familiarity with MoS/SAFF governance requirements.
- Experience in sports, entertainment, or service-based industries is a strong plus.
- Proven experience managing audits, statutory reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as MS D365, SAP, or equivalent financial software.
- Advanced Excel and data analytics skills for reporting and reconciliation.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Leadership skills to manage teams and drive accountability and performance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced transformation environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
