We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the organization. The ideal candidate will oversee budgeting and forecasting, drive month‑end and year‑end close activities, strengthen financial controls, and partner with business leaders to support strategic decision‑making. This role requires strong leadership, advanced analytical skills, and proficiency with financial systems and Excel.
Key Responsibilities – Finance Manager Duties & Financial Leadership
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial models; provide actionable variance analysis and recommendations to management.
- Manage financial reporting, consolidation, and presentation of results to senior leadership and stakeholders; prepare management reports, KPI dashboards, and board materials as needed.
- Oversee cash flow planning, working capital management, and treasury‑related activities; recommend strategies to optimize liquidity and capital structure.
- Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risk.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop finance staff, including performance management and career development planning.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (operations, HR, legal, and IT) to support business initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements.
- Coordinate and support external and internal audits; respond to auditor inquiries and implement audit recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in financial processes and lead projects to implement improvements.
Required Qualifications – Finance Manager Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, in corporate finance, FP&A, or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency with ERP/financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning and analysis tools preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate financial data into business insights.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and a results‑oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications – Certifications & Technical Skills
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred.
- Experience with ERP implementations, process automation, financial consolidation, or reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive, Anaplan) is a plus.
- Familiarity with tax compliance, regulatory requirements, and experience working with external auditors.
