Mace is delivering strategic project management consultancy for major stadiums and precinct transformations in Riyadh. The FIFA Design Compliance Expert will interpret FIFA requirements, lead design reviews, and coordinate across disciplines to ensure compliant, buildable outcomes from concept through to design freeze.

The role requires coordinating with FIFA, the World Cup Authority, and the client while guiding teams on governance, risk, and legacy outcomes for a large-scale venue programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in interpreting FIFA stadium requirements and converting them into design briefs, compliance matrices, review comments, and coordinated design solutions.
• Extensive design-stage experience on FIFA World Cup stadiums or comparable international event venues, from concept through detailed design and approvals.
• Strong technical understanding of stadium planning, seating, accessibility, safety, broadcast and hospitality needs.

Responsabilités

• Interface with FIFA, World Cup Authority, and client; provide input in design reviews, workshops, submissions, and approval meetings.
• Own and maintain FIFA design requirements, compliance matrix, and design assurance plan; translate standards into briefs and actions for all design disciplines.
• Review stadium designs from concept through detailed design to confirm compliance across seating, sightlines, accessibility, safety, and operations.
• Establish design-stage compliance gateways and coordinate preparation, QA, and submission of reports, drawings, and schedules for FIFA reviews.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design integration across architecture, structural, MEP, ICT, security, life safety, and overlay interfaces; ensure interfaces are resolved before design freeze.
• Coordinate permanent works with temporary and overlay requirements to avoid late redesign and long-term costs.
• Provide programme-wide design assurance across multiple stadiums and training facilities; report compliance, risks, and mitigation actions.
• Advise client leadership on FIFA strategy, value engineering, approvals, and legacy outcomes to protect mandatory compliance and venue functionality.
