Abdul Latif Jameel Company in Saudi Arabia seeks a seasoned Construction Project Leader to oversee fit-out and renovation activities across the Kingdom. You will manage a diverse team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.

The role requires a strong background in engineering or architecture, extensive construction management experience, and registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• 15+ years’ experience with 10+ years in construction management.
• Must be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Proven leadership and project management capabilities.

Purpose of the Job

Managing the Fit out and renovation team across KSA to ensure Operational Business requirements are met within the agreed timelines with focus on Sustainability, safety, and quality of work within agreed Budgets and timelines.

Key Accountabilities: Description

Responsible to ensure all projects are delivered within agreed timelines with the end-user

To prepare & implement Annual Project schedule based on priority needs of End users

To produce annual Departmental Budget

To ensure all Projects / Renovations are in strict compliance with ALJM Polices and procedures at all times

Major Activities

Ensure the preparation of RFP’s (Request for proposal) based on end user scope in conjunction with Commercial Department

Ensure Tendering process fully complies with ALJM Approved policy

Managing the contracts during design and construction stage to ensure all end user requirements are met;

Ensure Coordination occurs for all documents required for government authorities’ approvals.

Ensure management (on site supervision) of the construction during construction stage.

Supervise handing over of the project to the end-users and stakeholders and all subsequent snags are completed within agreed timelines

Monitoring the budget to ensure the expenses are within the approved allocation and are signed off at each stage of construction.

Ensure progress meetings with consultants and contractors for effective project implementation are conducted

Ensure coordination with all stakeholders of the project to discuss possible issues and concerns related to the project.

Ensure review of the design during design stage to ensure end-user requirements are in place.

Monitoring the time schedule to ensure project completion within the approved timelines.

The job has direct impact in ensuring all projects or renovations comply with all KSA legislation & Regulations.

The job holder has direct impact over the approved budget and contractual obligations on behalf of ALJ.

The job holder has the freedom to recommend Contractors and suppliers in line with ALJM Approved Policies

The job holder has the freedom to update, review and develop Project plans within agreed timelines with Director Sustainability

The job holder has the authority to recommend approval/decline a vendor proposal’s

The job has a crucial supporting role in ensuring onsite project supervision is in place in order to monitor the quality of the project implementation and that safety remains the highest priority during the project.

The job holder has a strategic role in assisting and advising the business of the most cost- effective way to achieve its operational requirements taking into account Sustainability of materials, energy, design etc.

Minimum Qualifications
