Job Summary
The Environmental Engineer Consultant will support the execution of environmental projects, including site investigations, environmental monitoring, data analysis, and reporting. The role involves fieldwork, coordination with laboratories, and assisting senior consultants in delivering high‑quality environmental consultancy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Fieldwork & Sampling: Conduct soil, groundwater, surface water, air, and waste sampling. Perform environmental site inspections and surveys. Ensure proper sample collection, preservation, and chain of custody. Follow international standards such as United States Environmental Protection Agency methods.
- Environmental Monitoring & Testing Support: Support environmental monitoring programs for air quality, noise, water, and soil. Coordinate with laboratory teams for analysis of BOD, COD, TPH, metals, etc. Ensure QA/QC procedures are followed during sampling and testing.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze environmental data and laboratory results. Assist in preparing technical reports, baseline studies, monitoring reports, and site assessments. Support preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations. Apply international standards such as ISO 14001. Assist in documentation required for permits and approvals.
- Project Support: Assist in planning and execution of environmental projects. Coordinate with senior consultants and project managers. Track project progress and report issues.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Follow all HSE procedures during fieldwork. Identify potential environmental and safety risks on‑site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental consultancy or environmental engineering.
- Knowledge of environmental sampling techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory parameters such as BOD, COD, TSS, TPH, heavy metals, etc.
- Understanding of environmental regulations.
- Basic knowledge of GIS is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in field conditions.
- Team player with willingness to learn.

- Accuracy and quality of sampling and data collection.
- Timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Quality of reports and documentation.
- Compliance with HSE and QA/QC procedures.
Reporting Line
Reports to Environmental Consultant Lead. Works with the laboratory team, field technicians, and project managers.
Work Conditions
Combination of office and fieldwork. Regular site visits to construction sites, industrial areas, and remote locations.
