Job summary

Valspec is seeking a Validation Engineer (CSV) to join our life sciences-focused team in Raleigh-Durham, NC. This role involves validating computer systems used in manufacturing vaccines, biologics, and related processes, with emphasis on IOQ testing and QA documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a recent engineering degree and some SDLC exposure through internships or co-ops, plus familiarity with DeltaV/Siemens/Rockwell ecosystems. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Recent college degree in engineering with an interest in control systems testing.
• Internship or co-op in SDLC of automated systems (process controls, MES, data mgmt) preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of process and engineering docs; PLC/DCS/SCADA and networks understood.

Responsibilities

• Test computer systems that manufacture pharmaceuticals, vaccines, cell and gene therapy products and biologics.
• Test systems may include DeltaV, PLCs, MES, OSI PI; ensure IOQ readiness.
• Interact with cross-functional groups to perform installation and operational IOQ testing.
• Draft deviations for failed test scripts and retest as needed.
• Draft and support review of qualification summary reports.
