Job summary

RATP is looking for a manager to oversee the engineering department's daily operations in Riyad Al Khabra, Saudi Arabia. You will lead a team of engineers, ensuring they are informed and motivated while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

• Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their expertise, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely project completion.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed to the required standards and specifications. Periodically review work processes and implement improvements as necessary.
• Monitor the work environment for any safety hazards and ensure that all activities comply with safety regulations and company protocols.
• Identify the training needs of team members and ensure they receive the necessary training, either on-the-job or through formal courses.
• Address any technical challenges or issues that arise during the shift, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and continued operational efficiency.
• Track the performance of team members, providing feedback, and conducting periodic evaluations.
• Act as a bridge between the management and the engineering team, ensuring both parties are updated about any significant developments.
• Document shift activities, challenges faced, and any anomalies observed. Submit regular reports to higher management.
• Coordinate with the inventory manager to ensure necessary tools, materials, and equipment are available for the shift’s tasks.
• Regularly review and refine processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Address any interpersonal or professional conflicts within the team, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
• Monitor expenditures during the shift, ensuring they remain within the allocated budget and identifying areas for cost‑saving.
