As an Engineer - Rides & Attractions Electrical at Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliable and safe operation of electrical systems for rides and attractions. Your expertise will contribute to creating a thrilling and enjoyable environment for our guests while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Collaborate with the engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for new rides and attractions, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Electrical Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical systems, control panels, and related equipment for rides and attractions.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations and modifications meet established safety codes and regulations, conducting risk assessments and safety audits as needed.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and expertise to maintenance teams during routine inspections, repairs, and emergency situations related to electrical systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, along with detailed documentation of electrical schematics and design changes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and safety teams to ensure that all electrical systems function effectively and can be safely operated by ride attendants.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to electrical engineering and amusement ride systems, recommending innovative solutions to improve operational reliability.
- Training: Assist in training maintenance staff on the proper operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems to enhance their effectiveness.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience
2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the amusement park or entertainment industry is preferred.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and safety protocols specific to rides and attractions.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience with PLC programming, VFDs, and automation systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within a team environment.
- Familiarity with ASME and NEC standards related to amusement rides.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
