Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Engineer – Planning with over 10 years in the oil and gas industry. This role focuses on developing project schedules, maintaining productivity metrics, and preparing status reports. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of planning experience. 10 – 12 years of relevant experience (minimum 10 years in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in planning and scheduling for maintenance of tanks, vessels, and piping).

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare maintenance schedules for tanks, vessels, piping, and related assets.
  • Develop Primavera P6 project schedules from preliminary mobilisation to completion, incorporating engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Create project control documents, including measurement procedures, invoicing procedures, progress "S" curves, and resource histograms.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.
  • Coordinate and attend progress review meetings with clients and subcontractors, and collaborate with other discipline departments to accelerate project progress.
  • Establish and maintain baseline productivity metrics, and report actual productivity deviations.
  • Prepare delay analysis reports in coordination with site engineers and develop mitigation plans to prevent recurrence and keep the project on schedule.
