Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer – ELV (Extra Low Voltage) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of ELV systems for various building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a passion for innovative building technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the detailed design of ELV, ICT, Security, and AV systems for commercial and residential buildings
- Develop project specifications, system architectures, and IFC drawings using AutoCAD and BIM software
- Prepare basis of design, schematic design, and concept design reports
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and other MEP disciplines for space planning, power requirements, and cooling needs
- Manage a team of BIM modelers, AutoCAD drafting technicians, and junior engineers for design and submission
- Conduct value engineering to ensure cost-effective solutions for clients
- Lead technical meetings and workshops with clients and stakeholders for ELV/ICT systems
- Implement smart system, fire life safety system, and energy-efficient designs in building projects
- Perform QA/QC peer reviews and audits for ELV/ICT systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ELV systems throughout project execution and handover
- Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices for ELV installations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in ELV systems engineering, with a focus on ICT, Security, and AV systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM software
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- In-depth understanding of building codes and regulations related to ELV systems, particularly in Saudi Arabia
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Professional certifications in ELV systems (e.g., BICSI, CFPS) preferred
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for ELV installations
- Knowledge of smart building technologies and energy-efficient design principles
- Experience with BIM modeling and coordination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Innovative mindset and willingness to explore new technologies and solutions
