Job summary

American School Dhahran is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our Elementary/Middle School team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role involves delivering lessons per prepared plans in the absence of regular teachers and maintaining classroom safety and order.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, has strong English communication skills, and prior substitute teaching or teaching certification is preferred. This is a part-time on-site position with responsibilities across ASD classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience as a substitute teacher is preferred.
• Teaching certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons according to the plans created by regular teachers.
• Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
• Motivate students to participate and learn in class.
• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Supervise students outside classrooms when needed.
• Coordinate with the ASD substitute teacher coordinator for expectations and emergency protocol.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal/Assistant Principals.
