Job summary

Mizuho in Riyadh seeks a senior professional to support financial advisory mandates and originate transactions within Project Finance and Structured Finance, aligning with the Power & Energy Transition team needs.

You will collaborate with the MEA RHQ and Saudi teams to model finances, prepare pitches, and craft innovative financing solutions across power, renewables, natural resources and infrastructure. Bilingual English/Arabic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Project Finance financial advisory experience - essential
• Financial modelling skills - essential
• Knowledge of project and corporate finance structures, coupled with the ability to develop innovative solutions for the client – essential
• Customer relationship management and marketing skills – essential
• Knowledge of relevant markets and sources of finance – essential
• Language skills English / Arabic – essential
• Middle East transaction experience – highly desirable
• Originate to Distribute experience – highly desirable
• Sector knowledge across Power, Renewables, Natural Resources and PFI/Infrastructure - desirable
• Working knowledge of relevant areas of law and accounting – desirable
• Degree or equivalent qualification - essential
• Banking training or experience – essential
• Project Finance experience - essential

Responsibilities

• Support financial advisory mandate
• Origination of suitable transactions
• Ensure that financial advisory mandates are executed with due attention paid to maximising sponsor returns and in a timely manner
• Ensure that transactions are structured to mitigate risks to the appropriate degree
• Cross-market and cross-sell where possible including products
• Contribute to overall professional management of client relationships
• Financial modelling and & Pitchbook preparation where relevant
• Provide general support and assistance to the team assigned from time to time
• To collaborate and communicate with managements in Mizuho MEA RHQ, Mizuho Saudi Arabia Company and other Mizuho team related to Project Finance and Structured Finance
• Other duties as may be requested by the Managing Director and/or Team Head in support of the Department’s ongoing business requirements.
