Emergency Response Specialist - Air Arabia Dammam - KSA

Supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in compliance with GACA, SMS, and applicable regulatory requirements. Contributes to emergency preparedness, response coordination, training, documentation, audits, and stakeholder liaison, while supporting ERT and EOC activities to strengthen organizational resilience and safety performance.

Job Purpose

Supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in compliance with GACA, SMS, and applicable regulatory requirements. Contributes to emergency preparedness, response coordination, training, documentation, audits, and stakeholder liaison, while supporting ERT and EOC activities to strengthen organizational resilience and safety performance.

Key Result Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically review the Emergency Response Plan (ERP), manuals, and procedures in full compliance with GACA requirements, organizational standards, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during emergency situations, including activation of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), by providing timely information, situation updates, and administrative support as required.
  • Monitor emergency events to ensure proper communication, escalation, coordination, and accurate documentation of actions taken in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Coordinate and deliver emergency response training programs and exercises for employees and ERT members; assist in evaluating drill effectiveness and implementing corrective actions to enhance preparedness.
  • Maintain accurate records of emergency incidents, drills, exercises, training activities, and follow‑up actions, ensuring compliance with mandatory training and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to emergency response and crisis management by assisting with documentation, evidence preparation, and tracking corrective actions until closure.
  • Prepare routine reports, summaries, and presentations related to emergency preparedness, response activities, and improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities within the emergency response framework to enhance safety culture and organizational resilience.
  • Ensure effective coordination and liaison with GACA, NTSC, airports, and relevant emergency services during emergency situations to facilitate timely response, regulatory compliance, and efficient incident management.
  • Ensure ERP documentation is maintained as controlled records within the Safety Management System (SMS) and that record retention complies with SMSM 1.5 and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support alignment and integration of ERP activities with the Safety Management System (SMS), Quality Assurance processes, and occurrence reporting frameworks.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in aviation management or similar field with 8 years of experience in similar field.
  • Fluent in English & Arabic languages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Work Experience
  • 8 years of experience in a similar field, with at least 3 years of experience in aviation operations or safety.
  • Demonstrated experience in airline emergency response management.
