Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in emergency response planning in the aviation field.
  • Certificate in Emergency Management Professional (EMP) is required.
  • Advantageous to have a course in Helicopter Emergency Medical Services.

Job description
Overview

The jobholder is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of emergency response plans and procedures for THC operations and to ensure compliance with GACAR and related regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of specific emergency programs, ensuring response activities are in line with GACAR standard policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures for THC operations and for specific types of incidents.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular emergency response drills and exercises to test and improve the effectiveness of the plans.
  • Provide supervision of operational support functions, including working within Security team to monitor the security situation, develop appropriate guidelines and standard operating procedures - Monitor and evaluate emergency response performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with GACAR and relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide training and education on emergency response procedures to employees and contractors.
  • Maintain and update emergency response documents and records.
  • Coordinate and communicate with relevant authorities and organizations during emergency situations.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Identify and evaluate potential emergency scenarios and risks.
  • Development and maintain emergency response equipment and supplies.
  • Understand and comply with GACA and local laws, regulations, and guidelines as they pertain to emergency response.
  • Understand and adhere to the company's emergency response protocols.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure readiness and compliance with emergency response plans.
  • Monitor the humanitarian risk and provide information to management and THC staff.
  • Manage ERP projects and programs monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting.
  • Provide advice and consultancy to businesses to ensure that they can carry on functioning in the event of an emergency.
  • Respond to incidents, such as natural disasters, and assess the situation and the level of response required.
Leadership
  • Monitor staff achievements, perform periodic performance appraisals, and provide guidance, coaching or training to direct subordinates in performing their delegated duties.
  • Optimize the use of personal and team time/effort in carrying out assigned duties, to ensure work meets agreed standards for timeliness and quality.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of trends in the market and provide advice to management on potential initiatives.
  • Support the execution of the overall strategic vision.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to work and information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in emergency management, safety management, or equivalent.
Experience & Skills
  • 7 years of experience as ERP in the aviation field.
  • Certificate course in Emergency Management Professional (EMP).
  • Certificate course Helicopter Emergency Medical Services is advantage.
  • Certificate course in Aviation Human Factors is advantage.
  • Familiar with GACARs and other (FAA/EASA) regulations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency response principles, procedures, and regulations
  • High level of proficiency within MS Office suite applications.
  • Possess good work habits, team-oriented, disciplined.
  • Highly organized, process and task-oriented, problem-solving skills, and communications skills.
