Job summary

Opus in Riyadh seeks an on-site IoT and POS technician to install, configure, and maintain electronic payment devices at client sites. You will also design, assemble, and configure IoT systems using Arduino and Raspberry Pi, and coordinate with Maintenance and Operations to keep systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure electronic payment devices (POS) at clients’ locations
• Install SIM cards on the devices and configure network settings
• Add devices and register them in the central system, linking them to merchants’ accounts
• Perform functional tests and ensure the safety of payment operations
• Diagnose technical faults and troubleshoot and repair them on-site
• Follow up and coordinate with the Maintenance and Operations department to resolve technical issues
• Provide phone and on-site technical support to customers
• Design, assemble, and configure Internet of Things systems
• Install sensors, actuators, and other connected devices to monitor systems in real time
• Carry out electrical wiring, soldering, and circuit assembly for various IoT devices
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electrical components
• Conduct comprehensive tests and troubleshoot IoT systems to ensure stable performance
• Diagnose and resolve network and connectivity issues, and configure devices

Job Objectives:

Install, configure, and maintain electronic payment devices; provide technical support to customers and employees; in addition, design, assemble, and configure Internet of Things (IoT) systems using tools such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi; and coordinate with the Maintenance and Operations departments to ensure the devices and systems continue to operate efficiently.

Approved Tasks and Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications and Academic Certificates:

• A technical diploma in one of the following fields:
• Electronics and Communications Technology
• Networking Technology
• Computer Engineering
• Information Technology
• Mechatronics
• Or General Secondary Education (Science Track) + at least 3 years of practical experience, preferably in the field

Required Professional Experience:

• At least one year in one of the following areas:
• Maintenance and installation of payment devices or point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Working with Arduino or Raspberry Pi or Internet of Things systems
• Electronics and electrical circuits
• Valid driver’s license (mandatory)
• Availability of a private car for travel between work sites (mandatory)
• Willingness to work on-site and travel within the city
• Flexibility in working hours when needed
