Job summary

National Medical Care in Riyadh seeks an experienced professional to oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical facilities, utilities, and hospital electronics. The role ensures compliance with international standards, safety regulations, and hospital policies.

You will supervise technicians, plan maintenance programs, manage equipment inspections, and coordinate outages and new installations across the hospital complex, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• Fluent in verbal and written English is required.
• Well versed in reading and interpreting As-Built drawings and plans.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all electrical installations are maintained and comply with proper standards.
• Formulates maintenance programs and procedures for electrical and electronics equipment and hospital utilities.
• Administers and supervises daily activities of electrical and electronics technicians.
• Implements maintenance programs and ensures schedules are followed and documented.
• Oversees operation and maintenance of emergency power generation, switchgear, MCCs, lighting, UPS, and related equipment.
• Manages electronics and telecommunications systems (PABX, MATV, paging, nurse call, fire alarm).
• Conducts design, material estimates and supervision of renovations within the hospital complex.
• Oversees procurement of consumables and spare parts.
• Submits monthly management reports and enforces hospital policies.
• Participates in safety, risk management and environmental control programs.

Job description

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all electrical facilities/utilities and equipment’s. To attend the day to day problems in keeping the physical plant facilities/utilities and all electrical and electronics equipment’s in good condition in accordance with international standards and hospital policies and procedures. His primary functions are:

• Repair and Maintenance of existing electrical equipment’s.
• Repair and Maintenance of existing electrical installations and electronics equipment’s in buildings and utilities.
• Equipment’s inspections and maintenance planning.
• Utilities generation and distribution.
• Alterations to existing equipment’s and building installations.
• Installation of new equipment’s as required

Functional Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures that all electrical installations are maintained and complies with the proper standard.
• Formulates various maintenance programs and procedures for all electrical and electronics equipment’s/ utilities in the hospital complex.
• Administration and supervisions of the daily activities of electrical and electronics technicians in performing their assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Implements all formulated maintenance programs and ensure that schedules have followed and documented.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the following electrical facilities: Emergency power generation/supply system, Switchgears and power substations, Motor control centers/panels, Lightings and power distribution panels, UPS and battery banks, all electrical equipment’s such as Electric motors, Electric steam boilers, Electric heaters, lighting system, Elevators, electrically operated doors and all other electrically generated equipment’s.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the following Electronics and Telecommunications equipment’s: PABX and telephone system, MATV system, Paging and Nurse Call system, Public address system, Fire Alarm system and all electronics controlled equipment’s.
• Formulates monitoring system of all equipment’s used by technicians in performing check-ups or inspections.
• Conducts design, materials estimates and supervisions of any renovations or modification of project within the hospital complex.
• Responsible for the acquisitions of consumables and spare parts materials.
• Submits monthly report as required by the management.
• Follows all departments’ policies and procedures of the hospital.
• Participates in on-going educational programs developed by the department such as Department policy and procedures, Fire Safety, Risk Management and Environmental control.
• Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge skills and abilities.
• Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by the management.
