A leading maritime engineering company in Saudi Arabia seeks a competent candidate to lead surface preparation and painting for hull blocks. This role requires overseeing production plans, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Marine Engineering, has 9-12 years of experience in industrial/marine painting, and possesses strong leadership and communication skills. A focus on safety and quality assurance is essential.
To lead, plan, and manage all activities related to surface preparation, blasting, coating, and painting of hull blocks, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules are achieved in accordance with IMI procedures and client specifications.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Marine Engineering (or equivalent).
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)
Preferred certified painting operator by NACE/SSPC/FROSIO or any other organizations.
Preferred certified NACE CIP Level 2 Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Knowledge of ISO 12944, IMO PSPC, SSPC, and relevant coating standards.
Understanding of blasting, coating systems, environmental controls, and QA/QC inspection processes.
Strong planning and leadership skills
Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
Experience
Minimum 9 – 12 years of experience in industrial/marine painting, including at least 5 years in managerial or supervisory role.
Languages
Good Communication Skills (oral and written) in the English Language.
