Job summary

Red Sea Coastal Trading Company seeks a seasoned purchaser to lead centralized procurement and category management for food & beverage, OS&E, consumables, and services. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA or professional certification preferred (CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, ISM).
• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, category management.
• Experience managing sourcing events, supplier negotiations, contract implementation, and supplier performance.
• Experience across food and beverage, OS&E, consumables, services, trading, distribution, FMCG, hospitality, retail, or similar.
• Strong track record delivering savings, cost avoidance, and supplier performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Director in implementing the centralized purchasing and category management strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Translate category strategies into sourcing plans, supplier actions, contract initiatives, and purchasing activities across spend areas.
• Lead purchasing execution for food & beverage, OS&E, consumables, services, and other categories, ensuring cost-effective, compliant delivery.
• Conduct spend analysis, demand reviews, market research, supplier assessments, and opportunity identification.
• Lead RFx, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and supplier selection processes within delegated authority.
• Prepare sourcing recommendations, commercial evaluations, and contract award justifications for senior management.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance reviews, monitoring cost, service, quality, lead time, and compliance.
• Challenge demand, clarify specifications, consolidate requirements, and promote standardization and approved buying channels.
• Support supplier segmentation, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and escalate supply, commercial, operational, contractual, and compliance risks, and support mitigation.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, and documentation controls.
• Maintain procurement reports and dashboards on savings, cost avoidance, and risk indicators.
• Provide guidance and day-to-day direction to purchasing team members.
