Job summary

Nahdi Medical Co. seeks a Data Privacy Specialist to ensure compliance with privacy laws and protect customer and employee data. You will implement strategies, assess risks, and guide policy development in a healthcare context.

Responsibilities include handling privacy inquiries, responding to incidents, updating policies, and coordinating with IT and legal teams to safeguard sensitive information across our operations in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or Law or related field.
• 3+ years of data privacy/data protection experience in IT.
• Knowledge of SQL, Oracle and data analysis tools (Excel, SAS, R, Python).
• Familiarity with data privacy laws such as GDPR, HIPAA, applicable in KSA.

Responsibilities

• Implement data protection strategies in line with department directions to maintain data confidentiality.
• Address privacy inquiries, incidents, and breaches with proper protocols.
• Enhance compliance and align data handling with privacy laws to mitigate risks.
• Regularly update Data Privacy Policies to reflect evolving laws.
• Safeguard sensitive data to prevent breaches and unauthorized access.

Ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and regulations, protecting customer data through effective strategies and policies, conducting risk assessments and analyzing data breaches, all while applying evolving technologies and legal frameworks to safeguard sensitive customer data, such as health records and personal information as well internal customer data such as employees’ records.

Accountabilities

• Implement data protection strategies in compliance with department directions and execute set strategies for maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
• Addressing data privacy inquiries, incidents, and breaches to respond effectively to data privacy concerns and incidents, minimizing impact and ensuring proper protocol.
• Enhance legal compliance and align data handling with privacy laws to safeguard the organization from legal and reputational risks.
• Regularly Updating Data Privacy Policies to keep data privacy policies current with evolving laws and business needs.
• Safeguard sensitive data in compliance with data protection strategies to prevent breaches and unauthorized access of data.
• Participate in risk assessments through regular risk assessments and documentation to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Manage incident tracking & reporting and addressing data privacy breaches and incidents promptly to minimize impact.
• Provide a central, updated resource for data privacy information within the organization and continuously ensure it is up to date to provide reference for data privacy policies & regulations.

Job Requirements

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ Experience in data privacy, data protection, or a related area in the IT sector.
• Computer Skills: database management systems like SQL, Oracle, or similar data analysis tools like Excel, SAS, R, or Python Knowledge of encryption technologies and tools Understanding of compliance software that helps in adhering to data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
