Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Specialist Intern to join the Data Center Security team. The internship is based in a data center with on-site work, focusing on physical security, surveillance, access controls, and incident documentation.

Interns may be considered for full-time roles, subject to performance and business needs. The program runs for 12 consecutive weeks, full-time (40 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Criminology, Security Management, or related field, graduating in 2027.
• Strong communication skills is required for written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with security vendors and data center teams on security operations.
• Analyze security data and metrics to identify trends and improvements.
• Contribute to surveillance and access control improvements.
• Develop guidance for data center occupants to reduce false alarms.
• Write reports and create presentations for management on security status.
• Assist with planning security-related projects and incident documentation.
