Job summary

DataVolt in Riyadh is seeking a senior HVAC engineer to lead design installation and commissioning of cooling systems in data centers. You will ensure customers' SLAs and energy efficiency targets are met while coordinating with engineering and facilities teams.

Key activities include overseeing CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, pumps, and BMS/DCIM integration, mentoring technicians, and driving maintenance programs to maximize uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Expertise in cooling systems (e.g., chillers, air handlers, CRAC/CRAH units).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency strategies and metrics (PUE, WUE).
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and DCIM tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership and ability to mentor and lead a team in HVAC engineering best practices.
• Desirable professional qualification e.g. CDCDP, ATD. Health and Safety qualification e.g. IOSH preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the design installation and commissioning of HVAC systems in data centers.
• Oversee configuration and operation of cooling systems to meet temperatures and humidity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet operational and energy efficiency standards.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for reliability.
• Maintain performance of cooling systems including chillers pumps and control systems.
• Assess cooling infrastructure for issues and improvements.
• Develop cooling strategies with facilities and engineering teams to optimize energy efficiency and uptime.
• Triage and resolve HVAC issues and document root causes.
