Job summary

NextEra is seeking a motivated Cyber Security Analyst to support security operations, monitor alerts, and help protect systems and data in our environment in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and policy enforcement.

You will work with IT, network, and app teams to resolve issues, perform risk assessments, and stay current with threats and security technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Cyber security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CCNA, Microsoft Security, or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and identify potential cyber security threats and incidents.
• Support investigation, analysis, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
• Assist in day-to-day SOC and security monitoring activities.
• Perform or support vulnerability assessments and track remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and support security solutions such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security/EDR, and antivirus solutions.
• Assist with security risk assessments and identification of security gaps.
• Support implementation and maintenance of cyber security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Participate in internal and external security audits and compliance activities.
• Coordinate with IT, network, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve security issues.
• Maintain incident records, security reports, and vulnerability remediation status.
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

• Endpoint Security / EDR
• Network Security
• Information Security Risk & Compliance
• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and common security controls.
• Fresh or junior professionals with strong hands-on cyber security exposure/certifications may also be considered.
