Job summary

ZainTECH is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in OCI and AWS to design secure, scalable cloud solutions and guide customers through multi-cloud and hybrid transformations. You will work with sales, delivery, and customer teams to conduct technical discovery, develop architecture designs, and support PoCs and RFP responses.

Strong OCI and AWS hands-on experience and certifications are preferred.

Job description

The Cloud Solutions Architect – OCI & AWS is responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable, and business-aligned cloud solutions across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms. The role serves as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers build and optimize multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments. Working closely with sales, delivery, and customer teams, the architect conducts technical discovery sessions and develops cloud solution designs based on business requirements.

The position supports customers throughout their cloud transformation journey by providing technical guidance and architecture expertise. Additionally, the role contributes to solution standardization, technical enablement, and continuous improvement of cloud architecture capabilities across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Cloud Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end cloud solutions across OCI and AWS, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Develop scalable and secure architectures covering Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Identity & security services, Backup and disaster recovery
• Implement cloud-native and serverless solutions using OCI and AWS services

Customer Engagement & Technical Advisory

• Conduct technical discovery sessions and requirement assessments
• Act as a trusted advisor for cloud transformation and modernization initiatives
• Lead architecture discussions, workshops, and technical presentations with stakeholders
• Deliver solution demonstrations and technical walkthroughs

Proposal Development & Solution Positioning

• Support development of technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Ensure solutions are technically and commercially aligned with customer needs
• Support Proof of Concept (PoC) and technical validation activities
• Assist in positioning cloud solutions against competitors

Cloud Infrastructure & Modernization

• Support enterprise cloud migration and modernization projects
• Design solutions involving Containers & Kubernetes (EKS, OKE), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, OCI Resource Manager) , Serverless architectures , Hybrid cloud networking
• Advise on cloud scalability, resilience, optimization, and operational best practices

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Collaborate with sales, presales, delivery, and technical teams on customer engagements
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
• Contribute to Reference architectures, Solution templates, Technical documentation and best practices
• Support internal enablement and knowledge-sharing initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in cloud architecture, presales, technical consulting, or cloud engineering roles
• Proven experience delivering customer-facing cloud solutions and architecture engagements
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Good understanding of multi‑cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, cloud networking, security, identity management, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes platforms (EKS, OKE), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and serverless services such as AWS Lambda and OCI Functions
• Knowledge of cloud migration, modernization frameworks, and enterprise cloud transformation projects
• Strong networking knowledge including VPC/VCN design, VPN connectivity, Direct Connect/FastConnect, load balancing, and DNS
• Relevant certifications such as OCI Architect Associate/Professional and AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional; AWS Advanced Networking or Security Specialty certifications are preferred
