Position Overview

(Romania & Saudi Arabia | Freelance / Contractor Opportunity)

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to support and govern network architectures across multi‑cloud environments, serving platforms in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring network reliability, security, and compliance for cloud infrastructures operating in mission‑critical environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in verifying and maintaining compliance with the Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) controls across all cloud environments, while supporting secure and resilient cloud networking operations. Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.

Scope of the Role

• Ensure multi‑cloud network compliance across all cloud environments
• Support secure network operations across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Alibaba Cloud, and Huawei Cloud
• Collaborate closely with cloud, security, and operations teams to maintain compliance and operational excellence

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud network architectures across multi‑cloud environments
• Support secure connectivity, routing, and segmentation in cloud networks
• Review and assess cloud network configurations for security, performance, and regulatory compliance
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
• Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews related to cloud networking
• Monitor network performance and availability, supporting incident investigation and resolution
• Document network architectures, compliance outcomes, and technical standards
• Provide recommendations and remediation plans to address compliance gaps

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cloud Network Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role
• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud networking in one or more of the following platforms:
• Alibaba Cloud
• Strong understanding of multi‑cloud networking, security, and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting regulatory compliance in cloud environments
• Mandatory fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
• Experience working in multicultural and geographically distributed environments, including the Middle East and Europe
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and risk‑assessment skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with security, audit, and technical stakeholders
• Role location: Remote Romania and / or Saudi Arabia
• Engagement type: Freelance / Contractor
