Job summary

A leading infrastructure consultancy is seeking a qualified Civil Inspector to ensure compliance with civil construction activities in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering and at least 7 years of experience in civil inspection, preferably on infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, monitoring construction activities, and ensuring safety compliance. Strong knowledge of construction standards and good communication skills, particularly in English, are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in civil construction inspection, preferably in infrastructure projects.
  • Prior experience working on consultant/PMC teams in the Middle East.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site inspections and monitor construction compliance.
  • Verify materials used according to specifications and drawings.
  • Coordinate with contractors and engineers to resolve site issues.
  • Monitor work progress and quality and raise NCRs as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and generate daily reports.
  • Ensure safety measures are implemented on-site as per HSE regulations.
  • Assist in reviewing shop drawings related to civil works.

WSP is currently seeking a qualified Civil Inspector to join our infrastructure supervision team in Riyadh. The Civil Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in civil construction inspection, preferably in infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, stormwater, etc.).
  • Prior experience working on consultant/PMC teams in the Middle East is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, standards, and regulations.
  • Good communication and documentation skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Saudi nationals are highly preferred in line with Saudization efforts.

  • Assist in reviewing shop drawings and method statements related to civil works.
  • Support the Senior Engineers and Resident Engineer in ensuring the contractor meets project requirements.
